What NetPayFinder is

NetPayFinder is a free UK take-home pay calculator. Enter your salary or hourly rate and it shows what you keep after income tax, National Insurance, pension contributions and student loan repayments, for the 2026/27 tax year.

Why it exists

Payslips are hard to read and many salary calculators are slow, cluttered or vague about how they reach their numbers. We wanted a calculator that answers the question first, explains every deduction in plain English and shows exactly which official rates it uses.

How we check the figures

• Every rate, threshold and allowance comes from official sources such as GOV.UK and HMRC guidance. We record the source and the date we checked it.
• The calculator is tested automatically against more than a hundred worked examples for each tax year, and a sample of results is cross-checked against independent calculators.
• Rates were last verified against HMRC on 5 October 2026. Every change is listed in our rates changelog.

How the site is funded

The site is free to use and is funded by advertising. Adverts are kept away from the calculator and never affect the results. We don’t store anything you enter. See our privacy policy.
